Tungsten worked with wearesyn to shoot the launch of the Life Fitness Atmos range of exercise equipment for hotel and apartment gyms against three city backdrops - without leaving our Leeds Virtual Production studio. The treadmill, elliptical and recumbent bike all needed to feel at home in the kind of premium gym the kit was built for. We built one gym set in our studio, using our LED wall to create a trio of skylines outside the window. Sunset through one skyline, late morning across another, golden hour against a third. Same set, same rig, three finished films from a single studio build.
After constructing a premium gym set in our Virtual Production studio with the LED wall as a window backdrop, we shot content for a suite of promotional assets across three days. We used AI to create three different city vista background plates, which were then iterated into morning, midday, and dusk versions with practical light rigged to match each one. This meant that for any close-ups of the product touchscreen controls, reflections from the environment were consistent and grounded in the physical world, without the need for fiddly VFX work in the edit - less post-production compositing, more in-camera filmmaking.

Tungsten assisted the post-production workflow with VFX clean-up, adding a ceiling to the room for wide shots and painting out cables used to power the products wherever they managed to sneak into frame. Lighting matched on the day, reflections matched on the day, the final passes just made sure nothing on set told the story it shouldn't.
